Road Trip 6 Town & Country Windsor, Forestville, Santa Rosa Road Trip 6 traverses the southeast portion of the Wine Road looping along country roads through the northern boundaries of Santa Rosa and the small towns of Windsor and Forestville. The wineries and vineyards along this road trip range from large world famous facilities, elegant up-scale estates, limited production boutique and unpretentious family owned establishments. Lodging and dining accommodations offer the same diversity ranging from sophisticated to country charm. Trip 6 requires a bit of planning as it zigzags back and forth... but the roads and scenery are delightful year-round, and the destinations are all easy to find. Many of the wineries are not open daily, so call ahead to schedule tasting appointments. A good start for this trip begins in Windsor, check out the new Town Green development which is lined with unique shops and cafes. You can make a broad loop heading west on River Road and come back through Forestville along Hwy. 116, Guerneville Rd. or Occidental Rd.
